- Gulia Fabbiani and Jacopo Cattelani found out that they could only host 30 guests at their wedding days before it was due to happen.
- Having previously postponed their wedding, they decided to forge ahead.
- To accommodate all their loved ones, they hosted three sets of guest in what they term three "mini-weddings'.
The couple learnt about their country's Covid-19 measures a few days before the wedding in the commune of Fiorano Modenese in the northern Italian province of Modena on 17th October.
Not to be discouraged, the couple decided to come up with a plan to include as many of their loved ones as possible in their nuptials.

"We had already postponed everything in May. Moving it again would have been impossible," says Gulia.
"We had three mini weddings which lasted four hours each so that we could celebrate with everyone."
The couple divided the wedding reception into three sections: lunch with family members, an aperitif with the groom's friends, and dinner with the bride's closest pals.

The father of the bride, photographer Marco Fabbiani, called the occasion "the best day of my daughter's life."
He says it was his idea to do the church ceremony in the morning, followed by three shifts of 30 guests afterward to get around the Covid-19 rule.
The couple's big day respected social distancing measures and hand gel was readily available for all attendees.

The newlyweds say they enjoyed receiving three rounds of thunderous applause when taking part in the split celebrations.

"I really want to point out that my sister Marcella and mum Patrizia were instrumental in the organisation, which was certainly more expensive than expected, but made the day absolutely perfect - and in full compliance with the rules," says the happy bride.
