Iconic Hollywood actress Angela Bassett and her husband Courtney B. Vance celebrated 25 years of marriage. In celebration of this milestone, the couple took to social media to share with fans how the celebration went with a video they posted on their Instagram accounts.
Along with the video, Angela wrote a lengthy love note to her husband where she mentioned that they looked forward to celebrating ten years of marriage and now they made it to more than what they had hoped to.

She shared, "25 years. When we first got married, we couldn't wait to say we made it to 10 years! Now look at how far we've come!" She continued to quote Frankie about the ups and downs of relationships and marriages. "As Frankie says, 'Joy and pain are like sunshine and rain...' Whew! He sure was right!" she added. She went on to share that their marriage wasn't smooth. "We've had ups, we've had downs; we gained two amazing children; but lost cherished family members and friends. We've had successes, we've had failures; we've had spectacular wins, we've had devastating losses (sic)."

Friends, family and fans flooded to the comments section to congratulate the couple with actress Kerry Washington saying, "EPIC" with a heart emoji. Another added, "Happy Anniversary. Here's to the next 25. Love you both."
