Founder & CEO of Leilani Weddings Danielle Leilani has planned many events in Hollywood, including celebrity weddings. She shared with US Weekly the five things a bride should keep in mind when planning their special day.
1. Ask yourself if this is the right time to have a wedding. Weddings are very expensive even when done right.
2. How big or small do you want the wedding to be? This will help narrow down your venue options.
3. What time of year do you love most? This is probably the season you want to get married.
4. Consider the size of your wedding party. I have seen small wedding parties of one person on each side up to very large wedding parties of up to 16 on each side. Very different vibes.
5. Who they're booking as their planner! It is very unwise to try and plan such a big event on your own.

The 'It Girl' event planner also shared some of her favourite wedding themes over the years, which are Boho Glam, Feminine and Whimsical, and Modern Boho.
For the coming year, she is predicting the following wedding themes to take over the wedding industry.
- Sustainability: I love that couples are going in this direction.
- 80's fashion: This is a personal favourite for her being an 80's baby.
- Live Entertainment: A staple at Leilani Weddings.

When planning your best friend's bachelorette party, Danielle advises maids of honour to get organised and focus on the basics as the starting point.
- Chat with the bride on some of her do's and don'ts, haves and must-haves, then circle the girls to brainstorm and plan.
- Delegate each girl to help with a certain element, and keep all of the money planning tight, so there are no surprises or drama around what everybody is paying.
However, if the planning gets too much, consider hiring a professional to handle it.
