Experience a colorful juxtaposition of music, drama and narration as we perform a variety of songs within a variety of genres, paying tribute to Nelson Mandela.
You will move to the rhythm and the melodious harmonies that tell the Mandela Story in a way earmarked to inject hope amongst a despondent youth. Gleaning from his values to impact the current day society.
Madibaness combines the novelty of stage with the international experience of some of the cast and crew to present a raw but professional rendition of freedom songs and original ballads, all paying tribute to Madiba and hailing his values.
Written by a multi-talented poet, speaker, trainer and composer, Sipho Mnyakeni, Madibaness has travelled the length and breadth of the country, with recent shows in Welkom, Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa. Madibaness is scheduled to perform at the National Arts Festival in July. The music is directed by Thulani Sithela, known for his role in Soweto Spiritual Singers that has traveled internationally wooing audiences all over the world.
A fitting celebration of Freedom Day, watching the father of the South African miracle being celebrated.
