Bonang Matheba’s career and success keeps soaring to heights that only she, the ‘it girl’ of South African entertainment industry has reached. Just when you think negative reports on her will dampen her spirits and slow her down, she keeps sealing deals. Yesterday’s vineyard posts left tongues wagging when she sighted her new achievement as a vineyard owner.
‘GIRLS WITH VINEYARDS’
Social media was abuzz as ‘Queen B’ kept hints of her at a vineyard in Cape Town at Rust en Vrede Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. “I’ve always wanted a vineyard,” she said in one Instagram post. Although she kept teasing social media with hints without giving precise details, it’s clear yesterday was a big deal for her. In a video post, she is seen signing a document at the historical sight. We might not know the nitty-gritties of the deal but what we know for sure is Rust en Vrede has been in existence for 321 years and is South Africa’s premium red wine estate. As expected Twitter users kept a flood of congratulatory messages coming making Bonang trend for a positive reason this time after a negative start to the year when her name trended for not so encouraging reasons.
HER NAME BEING DRAGGED
Days before 2017 ended, her rapper boyfriend Kiernan Forbes, known to fans as AKA tweeted that the two were no longer a couple. Bonang never responded to tweets relating to the matter instead, we saw her have a time of her life on holiday and in Nigeria and Cape Town consecutively. Just a days ago Bonang’s former make-up artist Muzi Zuma posted a thread of tweets claiming the media darling owned him R25 000 for work he had done which has since been paid by Sylvester Chauke, owner of DNA Brands Architects, a PR company that manages Bonang. Twitter users used the opportunity to bash her for not having the decency to explain her side of the story. But as always, Bonang hardly ever retaliates when Twitter wars are lodged against her.
