Mzansi Magic has refuted claims that award-winning actor Pallance Dladla, best known as Isibaya’s Jabulani Zungu, is leaving their hit telenovela.

Speaking to Move!, the channel confirmed that reports are not true.

"The character of Jabulani Zungu, played by Pallance Dladla on the popular show Isibaya, is not leaving the show as allegedly published. Pallance Dladla is actively pushing the boundaries of his craft by pursuing international work while securing and maintaining local contracts," said Philly Kubheka, HOD PR & publicity, local entertainment channels at MultiChoice.

Pallance reportedly wanted to take a break from shooting to network in the US.

Isibaya recently lost two major actors, Menzi Ngubane and Nomzamo Mbatha.

Menzi’s character, Judas Ngwenya, was killed off because the writers didn’t have anything further for him.

Menzi later put it on record that his exit was amicable and rubbished rumours that he was booted from the show.

Nomzamo, who played Thandeka Zungu, was also "killed off" because she is also broadening her horizons in the US, and is currently shooting Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America movie.
