KHUMBUL’ EKHAYA presenter, Andile Gaelesiwe (43), has finally confirmed that she is no longer dating former Muvhango actor and Speak Out presenter Lesley Musina (36). SPILLING THE BEANS The two have been very cagey about sharing details of their relationship. In a recent TV interview in Tumi Morake’s show, #WTFTUMI, Andile put it on record that she has split with Lesley and she has already moved on. When Tumi played a game called ‘Who would you rather?’, and showed Andile pictures of men, she spilled the beans about her relationship status with Lesley. She said that they broke up in 2016 and that she has a new man. In true Andile style, she wouldn’t be drawn into revealing the identity of her new man.
LESLEY CONFIRMS THE BREAK-UP
Lesley confirmed the break-up with Andile to Move!, expressing his astonishment that we’re only bringing the issue up now when it’s been a while since their split. “It’s been a while since we broke up. We broke up in 2016. I’m surprised you guys are only picking it up now,” he says. As expected, Lesley is very cagey about sharing the details of what led to the break-up. “Like in any relationship, things happen and we had a good relationship for about three years or so,” he says.
RARE PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION
The pair was often discreet about their romance. The celebrity cook-off in Mpumalanga in 2016 was one of the events they flaunted their relationship and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. This was one of those rare occasions because the pair were not used to public displays of affection. They hardly ever posted about each other on social media like other celebrity couples. In another rare occasion, Andile declared her love for Lesley on his birthday. “You make me wanna be a better human being moreover a better woman. You are a gift. Happy birthday, mumu. I love you,” she posted.
THE AGE DIFFERENCE
Another issue that was a talk of the town was their seven-year age difference, with Andile being older than him. “I fell in love with an individual, not because of anything else. It’s not because of age or what people say, but how you relate to each other. When you love someone you don’t date them because of fame,” he was quoted as saying. On the other hand, the Khumbul’ ekhaya presenter had been very tight-lipped about their relationship until her appearance on Tumi’s show. At the time of going to print, efforts to get comment from Andile were unsuccessful.
