Jo-Anne joins a number of actors who’ve bowed out of the show recently. One of the long-standing actors and fan favourite Linda Sokhulu, who played Nikiwe Sibiya, left the show for etv’s Rhythm City.

Aubrey Poo, who portrayed the charismatic Gabriel Mothusi felt there was nothing left for the character to do which was also his reason for leaving in March this year.

Gerard Rudolf who played Hendrik Lategan made his final appearance in May.

This year the soapie is celebrating 21 years on air. And to do that in style, they’ve dug deep and brought back one of the most legendary actresses, Michelle Botes back.

Michelle played one of TV’s legendary villains Cherel de Villiers-Haines-Le-Roux-Holmes. She will be back for a two-day special.
