Mzansi Magic’s local drama series Housekeepers is set to return for its second season next month.
The drama series hit our screens in 2018. It gave us a peek behind the high walls of Fourways’ mansions – inside the lives and the drama of the rich as seen through the eyes of those who serve on them and see and know all.
The talented Thando Thabethe returns as the lead actress, Linda, and will be joined by new faces who bring this fascinating local story to life.
The elegant Xolile Tshabalala plays matriarch Noli Ngubane, while Lindani Nkosi plays Clive Ngubane. Actress Lorcia Cooper plays the spicy Mkhonto, alongside Sthembiso “SK” Khoza as Sydney Ngubane and Kwezi Ndlovu as Thuli Ngubane.

Nomsa Philiso, director of M-Net local entertainment channels, had this to say about season 2 of Housekeepers.
“With its emotional twists and turns, this new season of Housekeepers shows just how incredibly entertaining local storytelling can be. Further, the diverse talent mix offers our viewers pristine acting that is simply amazing to watch.”

And there seems to be a plot twist too. Linda was a victim of a lot of misfortune in season 1. She lost her mother and while she was still grieving, she also lost her younger sibling Mtho, who was the only surviving relative who mattered to her.
Viewers really felt Linda’s pain and felt sorry for her. But there is a possibility Linda might not be the victim we thought she was. Things aren’t quite what they seem. A feisty new detective begins connecting the dots and realises that all evidence points to Linda.
The series also features the much-loved Dumisani Mbebe, Kayise Ngqula, Nimrod Nkosi and Liopelo Maphathe as gutsy Officer Maluleke.
Housekeepers season 2 premieres on Monday 15 June at 8pm on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).
