Dress for the occasion

Interviews – The trick with interviews is to have the panel focus entirely on what you have to say as opposed to what you are wearing. Keep it as simple as possible. Black and white is the standard for interviews but neutral colours work well too. This all black outfit by Tumi Voster is perfect. It’s comfortable and presentable.

Picnic – With spring in our midst, picnics are a must. Skimpy skirts and stiletto heels are a no-no. Actress Jessica Nkosi shows us how to do it right. She rocks denim shorts, a simple white vest and a bright kimono. Shorts and flowy dresses paired with sandals can work too for picnics.

Business Presentations – Similarly to interviews, you need to appear professional and smart for business presentations. The difference however is that you can get away with bright colours. Lerato Kganyago loves suites and she rocks them well. Follow her for inspiration on this look.

Clubbing – When you plan on painting the town red with the girls there aren’t too many restrictions. You need to look young and lively though.  Go for an outfit that articulates ‘sexy, young and free.’  Thando Thabete’s outfit is daring and hard not to like.

Weddings – “Love and happiness” is the theme for any wedding. It is important to look amazing without taking the spotlight off the bride of course. Do like Bonang Matheba and rock a princess-like dress that is both classy and elegant.
