Friday's events in Senekal, where the EFF again stuck to the only playbook it knows (race and violence) and white right wingers made a cameo appearance in old SADF browns, exposed some hard truths about politics, opportunism and crime. Pieter du Toit was there. And this is what he saw.

The tone for the day's events last Friday in the eastern Free State town of Senekal was set early in the morning as busloads of EFF supporters - mostly from Gauteng - started filling Van Riebeeck Street in the middle of town.
