Here's what you need to know about the state of the US presidential elections between President Donald Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden right now:  

1. The battleground states 

After trailing behind Trump in early vote counting in Wisconsin with 10 electoral votes, Biden has taken the lead by roughly 9 000 votes and 89% of the vote counted, according to CNN.
