Here’s what you need to know about the state of the US presidential elections between Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee former vice-president Joe Biden right now:  

1. The battleground states

A spokesperson for Georgia’s secretary of state Brad Raffensperger said 60 000 votes still have to be counted in the battleground states, with Trump currently leading with 18 000 votes, but his lead is shrinking as votes continue to be tallied.
