Outgoing DA MP Michael Waters.
James De Villiers

Outgoing DA member of Parliament Michael Waters, who once held Mmusi Maimane accountable, believes that the ANC incorrectly convinced South Africans that the collective is more important than the individual. Waters spoke to News24 about why his sexuality wasn’t the reason he fought for certain issues, the lessons from Maimane’s leadership term, and how his view changed during his time in Parliament.
