British businessman and murder accused Shrien Dewani (31) collapsed as he left court yesterday after a bail hearing.
Dewani, who the South African government wants extradited to face charges for allegedly plotting the murder of his wife, Anni Dewani, in November last year, is on bail and had been hospitalised for depression.
The court heard how he had threatened to punch a nurse at the Priory clinic and was subsequently kicked out of the rehabilitation centre.
Dewani agreed to be moved to the psychiatric unit Kewstoke where they will be able to deal with such outbursts.
It was reported that Priory staff nurse Miriam Andrews confirmed his volatile behaviour.
“He has never been fully complaint and complains a lot. He has shouted at staff before and been very aggressive towards them,”Andrews said.
Dewani’s bail was extended until Wednesday.
His extradition hearing is set for next month.
