Eye candy of World Cup status and pure hottie nature

The world has already been overexposed to the unmatched handsome

face of David Beckham, Cristiano ­Ronaldo’s toned behind and Fabio ­Cannavaro’s

dazzling smile.

Some of these well-known football hunks have graced covers of

­countless magazines, dated models and fronted advertising campaigns that made

women’s hearts flutter.

However, the 2010 World Cup ­yielded a new crop of eye candy which

currently stars in many ­women’s fantasies.

Just as the big names didn’t feature

prominently in this tournament, new darlings emerged – both in the skills and

looks department.

These are the men who made the World Cup worthwhile for women (and

some men) to brave the winter chill to watch them.

Their fans waited patiently for that full-time whistle that

signalled the best part of the game: the ­jersey ­exchange.

In fact, it will not come as much of a surprise to spot a few of
