Careful what you read! You may just find yourself experiencing the same symptoms you read about in the newspaper or a magazine, new research says.
The study conducted by the Johannes Gutenberg University in Germany found that media reports about substances that are supposedly hazardous to one’s health may cause gullible people to develop symptoms of a disease even though there is no objective reason for doing so.

Home grocery delivery may sound like an option for people too lazy to walk to the store. But having food delivered can be more environmentally friendly than driving to the store, according to a new study.
Researchers from the University of Washington found that having groceries delivered can cut carbon dioxide emissions by at least half, compared with driving to the store. They explained that this is so because the delivery truck offers the equivalent of a “shared ride” for the food. The study was published in the Journal of the Transportation Research Forum last week.

Eating peppers twice a week could help reduce the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease by up to a third, a new study published in the latest instalment of the journal Annals of Neurology has found.
Scientists found individuals who ate foods containing an edible form of nicotine – which includes tomatoes, potatoes and aubergines – gained a degree of protection against the condition.
