Professor ‘charged’ over metro uniform

Kwaito star Professor Langa has apparently been charged for the “illegal use” of metro police gear.

He and Kalawa Jazmee executive Oscar Mdlongwa tweeted that they had arrived at the Durban police this morning to be questioned.

Langa of Uban’osnika lento fame tweeted, “@professorkalawa: “I have been formally charged by SAPS now waiting for to go court!”

This was after he wore the police uniform during his live performance at this year’s Metro FM Award ceremony on Saturday night.

The label’s general manager, who goes by the name of Scotch, said he was not aware of developments in the case.

“I was not able to attend the awards and (am) in the dark about what’s happening,” he said.
