SA Airways (SAA) will no longer fly between Cape Town and Durban as of November 1, the company announced.
“However, we will continue to service our customers on that route via an agreement, which is a standard industry practice, with one airline available to fly passengers,” spokesperson Fani Zulu said.
He said the tourist/leisure route was price-sensitive and Mango would serve passenegers heading to those destinations in future.
SAA planes would be available for more routes in Africa, which is their most profitable sector.
