Stock up on batteries as load shedding starts

Eskom has implemented stage one of its load shedding schedule. “Eskom has started load shedding in stage one as of 11.05am,” it tweeted today.

“Due to the electricity demand that has exceeded the supply Eskom has implemented load shedding stage one from 11am until 10pm tonight.”

“We would like to appeal to customers to reduce their electricity usage as much as they can, as it will ease the pressure on the system.”

Load shedding schedules are available at loadshedding.eskom.co.za.
