A Swedish tour group has been robbed in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, Western Cape police said.
“[On Monday] at about 11.40am a group of 17 Swedish tourists, a tour guide and a driver were robbed at gunpoint by four armed suspects while they visited a crèche in Site C Khayelitsha,” Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut said.
The robbers fled with various items and cash. They had not been arrested by 8am today.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Traut would not immediately comment on a report that the armed robbers were believed to be children.
