A four-year-old girl survived a five-storey fall from an apartment building in Brooklyn, Cape Town, yesterday, Western Cape paramedics said.
She sustained only a fractured arm, Netcare 911 spokesperson Lauren Copley said.
It was believed the child slipped off the balcony.
“What made the girl’s ordeal remarkable, is that she was lucky to fall onto a small area of lawn in front of the apartment, instead of onto the large paved section surrounding it.”
She was stabilised on the scene before being taken by ambulance to the Red Cross Children’s hospital.
