After Sindi Nene was voted out of Idols this week, despite her solid performance of Brenda Fassie’s Vul’dlela, it’s up to the guys to finish the competition.
For the first time in six seasons of the series, two male contestants have made it to the finals. Lloyd Cele and Elvis Blue will compete on Sunday for the title.
Lloyd chose Bruno Mars’s Just The Way You Are and The Parlotones’ Push Me To the Floor for his final performance.
Blue will be singing the Leonard Cohen anthem, Hallelujah, and Bob Dylan’s To Make You Feel My Love – with which he had Mara in tears at his original audition in Cape Town.
The two dads will each debut the brand new Idols single that the winner will release next week.
Cele’s single is called Thanks To You and Blue’s is Things My Father Said.
Jason Hartman, Sasha-Lee Davids and Jody Williams will be performing at the spectacular.
While the top two will sing on Sunday, the final result will only be released on Tuesday, November 2.
