We should have won – Bafana

Following their one-all draw against Mexico in the 2010 Fifa World Cup opening

match of Group A, Daniel Mothowagae spoke to some of the Bafana players.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane

“I think we played well as a team and we can only learn going

forward. We should have won but I think we didn’t support our strikeforce

enough.”

Aaron Mokoena

“Defensively we did well, until that slip-up when we let them get

the equaliser. At least we had a good start; we didn’t lose. So it is one game

out of our way and we’ll prepare for Uruguay.”

Lucas Thwala

“It was a good experience but I must admit it was tough because we

played against a very intelligent side. I struggled a bit with a problem muscle

and I indicated to the bench my predicament hence my substitution.”
