With alcohol once again being unbanned, many parties appear to be taking place, often without masks. Melanie Verwoerd writes that its reckless and selfish and we need to change our behaviour to avoid a third wave.

I’m starting to dread looking at the WhatsApp groups that I’m part of. It seems that every time I open one there is another announcement of someone who has died. 

I’m sure I’m not alone in the experience that more and more people I know (or are related to people I know) are dying. Whereas the first wave of Covid was about numbers, for me the second is about names.
