If history repeats itself, won't the looming medicine shortage present the ANC with an opportunity to play victim - and hold itself together through an NDZ promotion to Ramaphosa's side, asks Siya Khumalo.

Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma would have to dig deep to spin the government's failure at getting the vaccine ahead of future waves and mutations.  

One ill-timed strike or collapse at Eskom can break a cold chain, rendering vials of the coronavirus fragments not just too harmless to cause Covid-19 but also too useless to help prevent it.
