The Bridgetown Theatre Company is offering performances of their free theatre productions of Grade 12 set books to any schools.
Dates and times are to be decided by the schools between Mondays and Fridays until Thursday 30 September.
The company has prepared four plays, My children my Africa, Krismis van Map Jacobs, Hamlet and Fiela se kind.
Since March, these theatre productions were performed with overwhelming success at over 35 Western Cape high schools.
This was made possible through funding by the presidential employment stimulus programme (Pesp), National Arts Council (Nac), National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), Penny Lane Studios and the City of Cape Town.
Schools provide a suitable venue and determine the number of students who will attend, in compliance with the relevant Covid-19 regulations.
The company will prepare two shows if there are more than 100 learners.
Lighting, sound, costumes and sets will be provided by the company.
The duration of the programme will depend on which play(s) the school chooses.
There will be a question and answer session after each play.
