If these figures don't terrify you, nothing will!

Clem Sunter recently extracted population figures from Statistics SA, who base their reports on race. Currently the ratios for our entire population are 80% Black, 9% Coloured, 2.5% Asian and 8.5% White; our total population being 54 million.

Plotting the birth rate of the youth since 1990, the relative numbers of Coloured youths aged 0 - 24 have decreased by 1%, Asians decreased by 9% and Whites DECREASED by a massive 15%. However, the numbers of Black youth aged 0 - 24 have INCREASED by 11%. These now account for almost 85% of their age group.

Before anyone starts hurling racist comments, this is NOT a racist post. What it IS about is this: projecting population growth for the next 15 years, South Africa is going to have to absorb another 26 MILLION JOB SEEKERS by 2030, the vast majority of them Black. To do this, our economy needs to grow by at least 5 - 6%. Yet it is currently crawling along at a pathetic 1.3%. Already, unemployment amongst the youth is extremely high. It's only going to get worse - far, far worse. Because we're soon going to have to find jobs for another 26 million people - a number equal to almost half our current population!

What the government desperately needs to do right now is actively promote job creation. Create an environment in which jobs are available. To quote Sunter: 'They should be attempting to slow the Black birth rate and concentrating on creating capitalistic solutions for hungry mouths.'

Socialistic policies require some 60% of the population to pay tax, as in Nordic countries. Here in SA, only 3.5 million people (out of 54 million) pay 95% of all taxes. Note - ALL taxes - that's income tax, VAT, corporate tax, CGT, estate duty, carbon tax and the myriad of other stealth taxes the ANC has imposed. Absolute fact! That's less than 6.5% of our total population paying 95% of our whole tax burden - social grants, healthcare, education, policing and the rest (including big Mercs for our Cabinet ministers).

Communistic/Socialistic ideas simply CANNOT work here. They will doom South Africa to an exploding population of ever more hungry and desperate people.

We are right now at a tipping point. Either the ANC changes its policies and FAST, or they must be kicked out and replaced with a government that passes laws that create employment.

THAT'S IT IN A NUTSHELL. The figures do not lie. There is absolutely no other option if SA is to survive as a nation. Think about it, voters of SA.
