What we know: When Ace Magashule appears before court on Friday, he will, in all likelihood, still be the secretary-general of the ANC.
The details: This is as the ANC's national executive committee (NEC) has given the party's top six leaders a month to deal with matter as the party is one step closer on deciding Magashule's fate by adopting guidelines governing its step-aside policy.
The plan: Insiders in the meeting, which sat virtually over the weekend, said supporters of President Cyril Ramaphosa opted to first deal with the guidelines "which would then make it impossible for Magashule to argue against when the officials force him to step aside".
