Volkswagen to host innovative drive through car launch events in Joburg, Cape Town, and Durban.

UNparalleled. UNconventional. UNexpected.

Volkswagen’s calling it the #UNlaunch, a series of customer launch events set to take place in three major metros to showcase the all-new T-Roc, which arrives in the country at the end of November 2020.

Why an UNlaunch?  Because the T-Roc’s for people who defy the odds to be extraordinary; they do the unexpected, which is exactly what these events will do too.

The new Volkswagen T-Roc is coming.

Taking place over three weekends, the brand’s promising something unconventional, events filled with intrigue and wow factor; the ‘most Instagrammable’ event series of 2020.  Each captivating test drive experience will transport guests through a sequence of inspiring installations, which culminate in an extraordinary cocktail finale.  Expect the UNexpected, where avant-guarde meets innovation and beauty meets design.

Invitations are not issued; you’ll need to apply for an UNvite online, and if successful you and a partner will be able attend one of the 30 unique experiences. Each UNvite is valued at R450 but they are complimentary, as a gift from the T-Roc to you and include refreshments and entertainment.  Some performances will be UNanticipated, others will include recognised talent such as Sun-El Musician and Nakhane.

Each event caters for 100 guests for two hours at a time.

“The new T-Roc challenges the status quo and the UNlaunch embodies just that”, comments Meredith Kelly, Head of Marketing at Volkswagen South Africa. “The T-Roc is an SUV that has the drive to defy and is for people who stand out from the crowd, so it’s fitting that we’re hosting these launch events in a different way.”
