Deputy President David Mabuza has found an unusual ally in the EFF, with the party's leader, Julius Malema, insisting the country will be in safe hands under a Mabuza presidency.

"The fact that DD (David Mabuza) is the deputy president of this country means he meets all the requirements of being the president. There is nothing wrong with DD, so tighten your seatbelts; it is unavoidable.
