Congratulations to Ian Crouch, Mike Groom, Ken Leech and Kokkie de Kock on becoming 2016/17 Drawn 4s Champs

AMANZIMTOTI SPORTS CENTREA (ASC) has been proud to host many tournaments across all the sports codes this year.

Some of these included the high school night series rugby, KZN KFC Mini Cricket festival, Saphhire Coast Marathon, KZN Cross Country Champs, Toti 5-a-side soccer tournament, Highland gathering, Toti 69R and the inaugural Toti Trail Run, KZN Border Collie dog show and KZN guide dog show and toy run.

There has been a lot of maintenance and repairs done at ASC in a continuous effort to ensure the park maintains its standards for sports enthusiasts and the general public.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who readily help out where needed and the staff from Parks 5 - without you all, the sports centre would not have the attraction that it does.

Keeping the Amanzimtoti Sports Centre clean, safe and secure is an ongoing and daily task and this is by no means an easy one.

Various new sign boards have been posted in and around the sports centre - please take note of these to ensure that everyone gets to enjoy the park. Some big upgrades /changes this year were: the paving at the entrance to the sports centre has been redone, TUFC clubhouse has been enclosed for security reasons and new signage added, the cricket pitches have been re-done and the cricket nets and the ablutions at the oval refurbished,

All this is in preparation for a big year of sport and recreation in 2017.

2017 kicks off with the annual night series school rugby tournament, a new look bowls tournament to encourage new players and the KZN KFC Mini Cricket Festival and another trail run.

So watch the press and Amanzimtoti Sports Centre Facebook page for more details. The ASC functions hall is available to use for events and can seat up to 120 people. Please contact colleycathy@gmail.com for further details. Best wishes for a safe and prosperous Christmas and New Year. - Supplied.
