YOGA Tree held its year-end function recently at 305 Iphala.
It was a joyous occasion celebrating their year of yoga practice, hard work and commitment.
They looked back at a successful year of individual yoga classes, beach yoga, private sessions, their sunset yoga events and the Yoga Tree birthday function.
It was a year of immense growth and the studio has tripled the number of students in the last year and started a class for children.
Yoga instructor, and owner of Yoga Tree, Sharone Moizeau said she focuses on the Hatha style of yoga in the studio.
Moizeau believes that laughter is the best medicine and that a positive outlook on life is key.
“At the end of the day it all comes back to creating a balance between body, mind and emotion.”
Moizeau added that doing yoga is a personal journey. “Every time you attend class, you are coming for you. It’s your space without competition. Every person has different needs and abilities and we celebrate this,” she added.
At their year-end function, they enjoyed good food, a few yoga poses on the outstretched green lawn, released balloons over the ocean - “letting go of 2015” -and enjoyed a drum circle that ended the day on a festive note.
Yoga Tree classes are on Mondays at 5.30am and 7pm, Tuesdays at 8am and 5.30pm, Wednesday at 8am and 5.30pm, Thursdays at 8am and 5.30pm and Saturday at 7.30am (beach yoga). Private sessions by booking only.
