A 36-year-old man has been arrested for the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in the early hours of Saturday 26 September, in Asanda Village.
Police spokesperson Sgt Mthokozisi Gama said Lwandle police were called to the scene, and on arrival the victim had already been rushed to the hospital.
He said police immediately began their search for the suspect.

The suspect was found in possession of a 38 special Rossi firearm with two live rounds of ammunition.
“Police also found three cartridges in the dustbin,” said Gama.
He added that their investigation revealed that the firearm was stolen in Welkom, in June 1994.
