A 38-year-old man was arrested by the Lwandle police on Tuesday 3 November for the murder of his girlfriend in Nomzamo.

It is alleged the man stabbed his girlfriend to death at his house in Nomzamo.

Police spokesperson Sgt Mthokozisi Gama said police were called to the scene in the afternoon and found a 38-year-old victim lying in a pool of blood.

“It is alleged the partners were involved in an argument that led to the suspect stabbing the victim in the back,” he said.

“Police immediately arrested the suspect and detained him at Lwandle police station.”

Gama said a case of murder has been opened. The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday 4 November and has remained in custody.
