Officers attached to the Provincial Integrated Team embarked on operations in Khayelitsha on Saturday 24 October and arrested two men in possession of unlicenced ammunition.

As a consequence, the following successes were recorded. The men, age 35 and 38, were arrested when the car they were driving in was pulled over and searched between S block and Pama Road. Officers found a magazine in the possession of one suspect and both men were arrested.

In an unrelated matter, officers also confiscated 75 packets of dagga while conducting a search and seizure operation in Nkanini.

In a third case, a 42-year-old Khayelitsha man was arrested in Sea Point where officers discovered drugs comprising tik and mandrax tablets in the public toilets on Beach Road.
