THE Stella Royal AC held its annual race in Glenwood on March 21.
Due to Deloitte Challenge being hosted three days prior, the Stella 25km Challenge had a watered down participation while its 10km challenge bloomed.
Similarly, Checkout Verulam Falcons participation was depleted in the 25km challenge with only one member participating.
Vitasha Ramnarayan finished the 25km challenge in 3.20 minutes. Falcons’ junior Bilal Rasool led the 10km run.
The teenager was elated with his first KZN road race under his belt.
Bilal finished in fourth position. Other Falcons junior Nikhil Ramnarayan also completed the 10km run.
The club was elated with the juniors’ participation in the sport and urged parents to encourage their children to participate.
The other 10km runners were Harshada Fakir, Veeran Ramnarayan and Savy Govender.
Eddie Singh took it easy in the 10km walk after completing the Deloitte Marathon three days prior. He was closely followed by Mogie Padayachee.
The elite runners slowed down the pace and enjoyed a comfortable run as they mentally prepared for the upcoming Two Oceans Marathon. - Supplied.
