SCORES of Grade 7 pupils in the Billy Nair Circuit gathered at the Tongaat Town Hall to attend the accelerated learning programme on 30 August.

The intention of the programme was to assist pupils with their studies and equip them with learning skills.

Facilitator of the programme from Get The Edge Coaching, Junaid Bayat said the objective is to transform the education system in South Africa and empower pupils with necessary skills and techniques.

“For the past five years I have been running the programme in schools and universities.

“More than 90 000 pupils and students have benefitted from this programme.

“My intention is to make the programme flourish into other provinces in order to assist and sharpen pupils’ learning techniques,” he said.

Victoria Primary School principal Lajeeth Maharaj said Grade 7 pupils will gain skills in order to improve their studying and learning techniques.

“Schools in Verulam have already benefited from the programme and we hope it will help pupils acquire the learning skills,” he said.
