Brothers in custody for murder

A CASE of murder was opened against two brothers for allegedly killing a 19-year-old man in Shayamoya on Saturday, November 17.

SAPS confirmed that the deceased man was stabbed twice in the head and back and he died shortly after being admitted to EG and Usher Memorial Hospital.

“A 16-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, who are brothers, were arrested for allegedly killing the deceased,” said SAPS Captain Dumisani Ncongo.

He said both suspected men had appeared in Kokstad Magistrate’s Court for murder charges on Monday, November 19. The case was remanded to January 11, 2019.

Ncongo said both suspects remain in custody.
