KOKSTAD football teams are in for an exciting weekend as matches in the South African Breweries (SAB) Nedbank Cup games are set to take place at Bhongweni Stadium. Football fans will be delighted to finally watch the games after they were postponed last weekend.
On Saturday, September 29, Master 11 faces Eastern Rangers FC at 3 pm and Kokstad Liverpool will be facing Bush Bucks FC at 5 pm.
On Sunday, Kungawo FC will face Bhubesi FC at 9 am and Boys Two Men will face Esayidi Tvet College FC at 11 am.
The winning teams from both days will then play against each other to determine who will represent Kokstad in the Harry Gwala District.
Bush Bucks FC coach Sakhile Tshazi said the team had a minor setback, being that one of their players was injured during friendly games last weekend, but they will not be discouraged. He said they have recruited new players to tighten the team.
Commenting on their game between Bush Bucks FC and Liverpool, he said there has nothing to fear, players need to apply their minds and play hard to win the game.
