THE recent Facebook comment by the DA member Penny Sparrow has revealed the true colours of the Democratic Alliance’s racial tendencies.
Calling black people “monkeys” is not only Sparrow’s view, but the view of her own party whose aim is to promote the interests of the white minority while using blacks faces to attract black voters.
Sparrow’s defiant behaviour to apologise shows the extent of how the DA undermines blacks and their commitment to build a racial society in South Africa.
They claim to defend the Constitution while doing the direct opposite. Their member in Parliament Mike Waters recently posted on social network a derogatory picture of a monkey urinating on President Jacob Zuma.
People may view that as politicking, but in a true sense it undermines the government and South Africans, especially blacks. As if that was not enough who can forget the comments of the former DA leader and now the Western Cape premier, Helen Zille who called Eastern Cape pupils “refugees” in their own country.
That was a typical erstwhile apartheid government mentality that resorted to influx control measures to restrict black people from the so-called white areas in which the DA is trying to revive, especially in the Western Cape.
As we go to 2016 local government elections South Africans must be warned about the DA’s aim of re-building a racial society. Their action on suspending Dianne Kohler Barnard was nothing but a publicity stunt. In fact the very Kohler who praised the apartheid monster PW Botha, is clearly an indication of the DA’s aim about South Africa.
The silence of their white leaders in condemning Sparrow’s actions is an admittance of their wish to bring back apartheid. Voting for them will be like committing suicide. They have shown that they still harbouring a swart gevaar mentality.
As the ANC in Harry Gwala region we call for a united, non-racial, non-sexist society. We cannot subject our people to be governed by a party that is still rooted in the past. The true colours of the DA have been revealed and people of South Africa, be warned. People of Harry Gwala are warned. There is no other home for them other than the ANC. Say no to racism. Only an ANC vote will defeat racism.
