Miss Rosebud entries open for little girls

Entries for this year’s Miss Rosebud competition are flooding in.

The competition, presented by the Loch Logan Waterfront and Bloem News, Express’ sister publication, is open to any girl aged three or four on 21 November.

None of the usual elimination rounds in the Loch Logan Waterfront will take place, but every girl who enters will receive a medal.

Her photo will also appear on Bloem News Facebook Page, where members of the public can vote for their favourite.

Entries close on 9 November at 12:00, after which a panel will choose the ten finalists.

The readers’ choice will also be announced.

The finalists will take part in the final judging on 21 November.

Parents can enter their daughters by sending an email, with the subject line “Miss Rosebud 2020”, to lientjie.mentz@media24.com.

Attach one good quality head-and-shoulders picture (larger than 200 KB in jpg format) to the email. No other photo format will be accepted.

  • Supply the following information in the email: the name and surname of the girl;) her age and date of birth (day/month/year);) address with special reference to neighbourhood or town;) name, surname and cellphone number of mother; and) name, surname and cellphone number of father.

The name of a legal guar­dian can replace the name of a mother or father where applicable.

An entry will be seen as a parent or guardian’s consent that a photo of their daughter may be published in Bloem News, on the Facebook pages of Bloem News and the Loch Logan Waterfront, and on the Loch Logan Waterfront’s Instagram account.
