Musicians get a boost

Numerous musical artists in the Free State will benefit from the project 05Nation Volume 2.

To be released soon by 05Nation, this will be a second urban music compilation exclusively by Free State artists. It features a mix of genres by musicians who include local DJ’s.

The compilation will be launched virtually on 12 February.

Sipho Khaile, 05Nation promotions manager, said the launch would be streamed live across various music platforms.

“The compilation boasts a wealth of fresh new Free State musical talent, across various genres and from across the length and breadth of the province,” said Khaile.

“05Nation prides itself on promoting and exposing local talent with the chief objective being to promote and create a platform to grow, and thereby ensure, the sustainability of the local music industry.”

He said this second compilation had been influenced by the success of the first.

“We are building onto the platform of the first, which triggered a positive response and generated interest in the industry. We have upped the ante on volume 2.”

Khaile said the latest compilation featured a mix of new talent and seasoned acts.

“Free state talent is brought to the fore in spectacular fashion in this second compilation,” he said.

Featured in the compilation are the likes of Maida, Hanifa, Nandi, Dudu de Vocalist, Caask Asid, Thusga, Abuti Seboba, DJ Octopuz, La’Divah, Rado, Desperado, Thembile Thembile, Marabele, Harmony, Mini Kay, Bloodline Royalty, Barefoot SoulJah, Moshoeshoe, Ntebo and BacTeria.
