“HE sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.” Numbers 22:5-6.
We have the spirit of Balaam, cursing us without us knowing. Balaam was a prophet of God until he turned away from God. The only thing God gave him was a tongue. There are people that God has given a tongue, and anything they decree God decrees. Elisha did what Elijah told him to. The spirit of Elijah was upon Elisha, but Elisha was not Elijah, the difference was clear.
God is against the spirit that is troubling us – the curse of Balaam cursing us in the closet. The spirit will say, “I was busy throughout the whole night, I could not sleep; the Lord told me you are going to be prosperous.” When they say prosperity, they mean poverty; they say the opposite of what they mean.
Prayer Point: Call the name of Jesus once, very long and loud: every power that has been assigned to punish me, Lord push them out.
