AN alleged con man who has been defrauding people by promising them jobs and asking them to pay him has been described as a ‘sweet talker’ who targets unemployed women in Greytown.

The victims of a job scam that has been going on for more than eight months in Greytown called on the police to launch an investigation as many people could have been conned. According to the victims who have fallen prey to the scam, the modus operandi used by the suspect includes stating that he was tasked by Mavundla to recruit people to start working at the mall and some of his private properties.

The suspect has been known to offer people jobs in exchange for alcohol, money, and other incentives.
