A lot of talent will emerge for future Dusi Canoe Marathons, says Martin Dreyer.

DUSI Canoe Marathon great Martin Dreyer believes the race’s future is “extremely bright” with young and committed paddlers from different clubs and communities looking to emulate current champion Andy Birkett.

Dreyer, who won the three-day and one-day Dusi multiple times until 2008, says Birkett is a great ambassador for the “adventure race” and will also be happy with the talent emerging behind him.

“The Dusi could not have a better ambassador than Andy.
