GREYTOWN High School has once again excelled.
In the 2015 NSC examinations Greytown High achieved a 99% pass rate with a group average of 61%.
74% (70 pupils) of the 96 pupils qualified to do a Bachelor’s degree (the old exemption), 22 % (21 pupils) qualified to study for a diploma, and 4% (four pupils) received a higher certificate - an excellent achievement.
Top achievers were Zaphezulu Thembani, who did nine subjects, achieved six As (A aggregate): Eng HL 80%, Afr FA 84%, Zul FA 91%, life 82%, Hist 91% LF SC 80%., Siphesihle Sibisi, doing eight subjects, achieved five subject As: Zul FA 85%, Maths 83%, life 82% hist 84%, LF SC 88% and PH SC 79%.
The following B aggregate pupils, also doing eight subjects, received excellent results - Thandelike Cindi: four As – Zul FA 92%, life 91%, BS TD 87% and hist 84%, also achieving four As Lethukuthula Kweyama - Zul FA 88% M Lit 80 % and BS TD 81%.
The following pupils, doing eight subjects each, achieved three As – Lethukuthula Benya, Sbusisiwe Gule, Nothando Mkhize (nine subjects), Thenjiwe Mkwanazi and Anele Ndlovu.
Overall there were two A aggregates, 15 Bs, 33 Cs, 33 Ds and 12 Es.
