WE are not sure who enjoyed it more - the little ones, or the big ones, but we do know that everyone had fun.
As part of their Grade 9 life orientation curriculum, our pupils involve themselves in a community project and has supported the Enhlanhleni Crèche in various ways for many years.
This year Grade 9s prepared beautifully decorated cupcakes, made bracelets for the little girls and bow ties for the little boys. They also drew poster-size letters of the alphabet and colourful number-recognition posters.
The visit to the crèche was a highlight - each Grade 9 pupil took one of the crèche kiddies under their wing and in no time at all friendships were formed and home-time came all too soon. Thanks to Ms Marsé van der Merwe and her life orientation class.
We welcomed back our Grade 10 pupils last weekend, who were returning from four exciting weeks in Germany. We look forward to the many stories they can tell us, and wish them a relaxed holiday with their families.
