TEACHING and learning started on a positive note last Wednesday. Teachers distributed stationery in the morning and teaching and learning started after that.
On Friday enrollment stood at 935. One of the challenges the school has is parents failing to register their children on dates stipulated by the Department of Education. This has a negative effect on the distribution of stationery and text books.
The principal, Mrs Mngadi, said: "The biggest challenge the school is faced with is the shortage of water."
She said this problem started long before water restrictions were imposed. Currently the school has a 5kl Jojo tank which caters for cooking, drinking and cleaning toilets and classes.
Mrs Mngadi appealed to businesses and authorities to help them.
