SIR, it is perceived with great sadness that we have a municipality that has ears but cannot, or deliberately does not want to listen to the people it took an oath to serve.
I say this because a letter was published in this Gazette, which they all saw and read, where I complained about the stagnant, stinking and dirty water in a blocked drain in front of my house.
I also stated that the water is of great assistance to the mosquitoes in their reproduction cycle.
One also complained about the stink from the stream in our township, which is also insalubrious.
Gone are the days when we had caring and available councillors and officials. Please tell us how we must speak to you so that you can listen. You don’t want to help us even when we come crying to you, but in this you’ll only be doing what you paid for. Lastly, I am going to cover that drain with cement because I’m tired of talking to you.
